I am a standard size M 6/8 across the board and I made the mistake of sizing up according to another reviewer's advice. My first order was for a size 10..BIG mistake. It was baggy all around and defeated the purpose of paying extra for a coat that is form fitting and stretchy --> tailored to a woman's body. I reordered for a size 8 and it fits comfortably over my bulky-ish sweater and jeans. I could even go down to a 6 if I knew that I'd always wear low-profile clothing underneath, but I like the extra room since my lab is often freezing and I'd want to wear sweaters under. Someone else said that it was "tight" when she sat down...I don't see how as this coat is very generous with its stretchiness. Buy this in your size, it leaves plenty of room for your clothes underneath, is comfortable and made very well.
