This set allows artists to explore the unpredictable beauty of Raku finishes, rooted in a rich historical tradition, all backed by a lifetime warranty for peace of mind. ## Description This variety set brings together seven 4 fl oz jars of our favorite Raku glazes, plus a jar of wax resist, so you can explore a range of colors and effects in one purchase. Each glaze is made for raku firing, where post-firing reduction in flame and smoke gives every piece its own one-of-a-kind character. Fired results are matte and opaque, with solid, even coverage over the clay body. It's an easy, low-commitment way to sample new colors before choosing favorites for larger studio or classroom work. Review: Great raku sampler - Really fun sampler pack and they are easy to apply. Do yourself a favor and try these out, you’ll get some unexpected and pleasing results. Review: Success with first raku - I used three junk pieces as explorations into first raku. I have the sample set of raku glazes. The textured disc is solar flare. A big metallic look! The upside down bee water was not ideal but it did get a nice matte green from 4 U. The blue green from verdigris was great. Each item a different clay body. I will be using these and other colors the next go around with raku using items of purpose. Good quality. The sample set is worth it to experiment with glazes in raku. ## Features - RAKU VS TRADITIONAL GLAZES - Unlike standard glazes formulated for consistent, high-temp firing, Raku glazes embrace spontaneity. They react dynamically to fire and smoke, creating unpredictable, completely unique patterns and colors on every piece. - MATTE, OPAQUE FINISH - Fires to a soft, low-sheen matte surface with solid, even color that fully covers the clay body underneath. - READY TO BRUSH & LAYER - Ready to brush straight from the jar. Layer it over or under other glazes for new effects; test first, since thickness and firing change the result. - ART MATERIAL - Conforms to ASTM D-4236 art materials standard. Not for surfaces that come into contact with food or drink. - CONSCIENTIOUSLY MANUFACTURED - At Penguin Pottery, our core values are simple: manufacture responsibly in the USA, craft exceptional products, and support the pottery community by donating 1% of our sales to school programs, community centers, and disaster relief for artists. - LIFETIME WARRANTY - Penguin Pottery products are backed by our Lifetime Warranty. If you have any issues, we will give you a refund or replace your product. See warranty & support section for more information. ## Images ![Ceramic Glaze - Raku Glazes - Multicolor - Set of 8 Jars (4 fl.oz | 118 ml each) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81dew8fHbOL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great raku sampler *by D***T on September 28, 2026* Really fun sampler pack and they are easy to apply.
