They wash out well and you can reuse them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for some filters, not for others *by C***A on March 6, 2021* This filter material may be better used in a filter different than mine. It's really affordable and came in a huge roll, easy to cut. The problem is that when I placed it into my pond filter in the pond (not the large external one), it sits in there right next to the intake and the material is so soft and suction strong, so that the filter medium was getting sucked into the intake and clogging it. It filtered great until that happened, as of course almost stopping the water flow doesn't help with filtering. I used it to replace the very stiff black filter material that was in there before, and it didn't work. Got new one like the old and works perfect again.
