I use this alot so if you want my suggestion (especially if you have never used jackfruit before) simmer in water for a LEAST 30 min then rinse to get brine taste off if using for bbq or meat substitute. What are the used of each?** A: i've used other brands of jackfruit in water or brine and love them... but this one came and had lime juice listed on the label which i was not aware of since it's not listed here. i didn't like this one- i had the back taste of a tanginess which didn't work well with the 'chik'n' style casserole i made. i probably will only use this with bbq recipe...and use up the other cans but i won't order this brand again.
