As other people have mentioned, it's very large, even when you have it at its smallest. I tried it again when she was 15 months. It stayed BUT 2. Even when it does 'fit' it doesn't stay. The second you put any amount of water on top, it slides down - water gets in her eyes and all you have is a screaming baby. The ONLY way you can get this to work is to hold the piece up with one hand and pour with the other. 3. Finally the material is flimsy and poorly constructed with these awkward snaps. As an alternative we ended up buying a pouring cup from Babies R Us that has this little attachment flap that goes against baby's head to prevent water.
