Review: Improvements needed but ok for an entry level price. - After some issues with Yodel losing my bench (delivering to wrong address) the company were quick to rectify the situation, good communications and only took a few days for another to arrive. The bench itself is what you would expect for 50 quid. Going in, I knew some people had commented on the narrowness of the racks, which is a slight issue but I was able to adapt and use it. It would be better if you could adjust the width of the racks though. One of the main reasons I purchased this was for the dips, but this has it's own issues. The main one is stability, the end of the bench wants to lift when you're using the dipping handles, but this was easily stabilised when I put a few 10kg plates on the end of the bench. The main issue is that the bench itself is in the way when you lower yourself, so you need to split your legs, which is still doable, but does make the exercise tougher and not as repeatable. Overall the bench is adequate and it was fairly simple to assemble, although I would recommend using your own tools if you have them as the 2 spanners you get with it are fiddly. If you're a seasoned lifter this probably isn't for you. I hate the idea of going to the gym, so having this to use at home is brill for me, and I like that it folds up for storage, so my misses doesn't moan that our bedroom is slowly becoming pure gym.

Considering this was half the price of others I was looking at I can't complain. It's basic, it could be better; but for £60 it is great value for money. A few things I will point out - the bench top does wobble very slightly due to the design, but it is secure. The only real negative that could be a major issue for some is the distance between the weight stand... it is narrow. I do have to have my hands closer together on the bar than I would at the gym - but I manage... you might not. An extra 5cm on each side would have been helpful. For the price (delivered) it is a bargain.
