I imagine for people who are using this for migraines or severe headaches, you might want/need a fully covered mask, but you can always cover this with a washcloth or other material. I use it because I have terrible sinusitis and sinus pressure every time the weather changes. This help loosen up my sinus cavity and relieves some of that sinus pressure.
