This kit is compact enough to fit into my back pocket, but so useful! In the past I've always bought little cheapo kits that are basically just a little bit of thread and some needles thrown into a plastic box, and the pieces tend to get lost or tangled or the box broken. I figured that was just the way of sewing kits, but since I had a coupon for this kit I figured I'd try anyway. I was pleased to see it came with a big variety of thread colors, a lot of needles IN A CASE (love!), a pair of quality scissors, and two thread guides, plus a bunch of other stuff that doesn't come with your standard travel sewing kit - spare buttons, safety pin, tape measure, and a thimble! How have I gone 30 years without seeing a thimble in real life?? All the ingredients aside, I mostly just really love how organized this kit is. There are elastic straps galore to keep things in place and a sturdy zipper to contain everything if it does become loose. The rest of the kit is good - many needle options, extra buttons and pins.The two cons to this kit - the tape measure is wildly inaccurate. An inch on the tape measure is actually something like 1.25 inches. I will have to remove this item as it is useless to me as such. Too bad, I liked the idea of having one in the kit.Other con is the thread colors included feel kind of random (ex.
