Not easy to use at all. I returned it because it was not easy to use. I couldn't slip the yellow into the blue. **Q: how tall are the letters? Please, no guessing.** A: It’s very small, yum our better off getting the stamp the letters are thicker and nicer **Q: Do you have to put them in the holder? Or is there a spot to grip them and push in by hand?** A: You need the holder, but even using the holder it is difficult to slide the letters through. I tried to use it once didn’t work out well. Haven’t attempted to use it again. It’s trash **Q: anyone tried this with chocolate?** A: I haven't tried this with chocolate. These are very very small. I doubt it would work well at all.
