This will allow bit changes above the table. **Q: Does the kreg prs5000 lift fit to the bosch 1617evs router** A: Out of total frustration of not being able to fit either my DeWalt 618 or my Bosch 1617 router into the lift (and in spite of completely removing the motor-clamp screw), I went down to the hardware store and got 2 bolts of the same thread size and length but without the slightly larger shoulder. I replaced 2 adjacent shouldered bolts with the ones without shoulders. I also removed the spacer in the motor-clamp screw so I could tighten the clamp enough. Now either router fits. Everything's nice and snug. **Q: I have a Craftsman 1749. Will it fit?** A: Unfortunately, we have not tested the system on the Craftsman 1749.
