Enhances the manual sight guide with a white outline vs the old black and gives you full adjustable laser sight. It is not bulky, clears the holster neatly, and doesn't get caught on anything if you carry. It can be easily switched from a solid red laser to flashing to off with a touch of a button. It was a bear to get the old sights off without scratching anything but with the proper tool and patience it was worth it else take it to a gunsmith to install. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent sight for XDM *by M***M on Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2012* Seller was very prompt (ecop supply) and I installed this in about 10 minutes. I had a tritium front and rear Trijicon so removing the rear dovetail sight was easy on the XDM9 I was testing it on (I have a sight pusher made for XD's). The sight went on without using pusher or punch (punch is included) because it wasn't tight in the dovetail. However, the sight has a set screw so it's easy to lock it in place. It has 2 screws for adjusting windage and elevation. I pulled them out and put blue Loctite on them as well as the sight set screw. I adjusted the laser at home using a Laserlyte in breech laser and by looking down the sights. Took it to the range yesterday and shot about 200 rounds of Winchester Talon 124gr and Federal HST 124gr and 147gr Talons. All shot well and the laser stayed put once I got it dialed in with the ammo.I liked the sight so much that I ordered 2 more for my XD45 and my wifes XD9. I do miss the rear tritium but in the dark, I can point shoot easily using the front tritium and if time, just turn on the laser, which is much better in a tense situation or shooting from an odd stance.The sight turns on easily with the push of a button on the left rear of the sight and you can make it steady on or pulsing (hold the button for 5 seconds to switch the mode). It has a white outline where the sight cutout is so it's pretty easy to line-up in light conditions. Usually the XD target is set on top of the front sight but with this, I found the front sight was right on the target (more like my revolvers so I liked it better). The laser seemed to stay on target even after shooting a few hundred rounds. Hopefully it stays put but it's easy to adjust with allen wrenches included. I assume with the Loctite, it should stay. Only thing to get used to is racking the slide. It feels odd at first because this is bigger than a normal sight but it is easy and just feels a little different. It didn't make it awkward. Batteries go in the right side and it comes with them installed but you also get another 4. I have lots of these and they are pretty cheap.I would highly recommend. I had a Crimson trace on my wifes XD9 but I didn't like how far offline it was from the barrel, threw the sighting off depending on distance to target since it was so far away and I didn't like the grip. I use slip on Hogue grip handalls now. This seller has excellent pricing on the sight and they shipped quickly.I'll update if anything changes when I install them on my XD's. The XDM is similar both XD's though so I would assume it would be as easy to install and use on those. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dead accurate. *by K***O on Reviewed in the United States on October 21, 2012* I purchased the laserlyte for my XD SC 9, and I am very glad that I did. I would caution anyone who buys this to have it installed by a gunsmith because the stock sites are impossible to get off without the appropriate tool. Also, if you remove the rear plastic site piece, there are two Allen bolts behind it that will tighten up the laser and battery holder. This is something you should do right away to prevent the laser from turning off randomly after firing.Zeroing in the laser was simple. It took me about 20 rounds to get it perfect, and it has stayed true ever since. The only gripe that I have is that I wish the switch was on the right side instead of the left, but if you're a lefty, you will love it just the way it is. From a right handed perspective, I feel as though its a little bit more of a stretch, and that slight amount of time to activate it could be crucial in a self defense situation.I would also like to add that the rear manual site is much improved over stock. It has helped me get a quicker site picture, as well as improved my accuracy. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone with an XDSC.
