Step 2: a- Align mirror #2 on the gantry to mirror #1 next to the laser (both near and far until the red dot does not move). Mirrors #2 and #3 should be perfectly aligned! b- Lock them down, and do not touch them again! Step 3: a- With tape on mirror #1, mark a target spot where the red dot hits it. b- Now remove the alignment tool. Step 4: a- Adjust the laser tube to hit the target spot on mirror #1 (the tube does not need to be level). b- Adjust the front and back supports independently to hit the target spot. Step 5: a- Reinstall the reverse alignment tool. b- Put tape over the laser entry hole on the laser head. c- Mark a target spot where the red dot hits the back side of the tape. d- Remove the alignment tool. Now I can cut thicker material perfectly! *by on Reviewed in the United States October 27, 2023* I've wanted to make this purchase for over a year now but they're a little pricy, so I held off but now that I have them, I AM IN LOOOVE and wish I'd have bought them sooner!! The only thing I wasn't super pleased with was the alignment tool as I couldn't get it to work quite right, and it was just easier to do the alignment the regular, tedious way but other than that (and even that I'm sure was on my part as I'm not as knowledgeable with my laser as I could be if I spent more time learning it's ins and outs). I also purchased their 3pc mirror kit and installed all of them. It took me a day to realign my laser after installing the new mirrors, which was expected, but now (with the new mirrors and the new lenses) I can cut 1/2" MDF at a lower power than I could originally cut 1/4" MDF in the past!! I tried and tried to cut 1/2" MDF before purchasing these and there was absolutely NO WAY (even at 75% power and 4 passes my machine wouldn't cut it - I'm sure I had alignment issues as well though) but now that I have the new mirrors and lenses, I can cut the 1/2" in two passes at 48% power @ 5 speed. Before I needed 65% power @ 10 speed to cut 1/4" MDF and now I can cut that at 30% power! All of my settings for my other materials have changed for the better as well. The time alone that these purchases are going to save me is WAY worth the money spent!!
