Review: Just buy it! - Buy this chair now! I'm doing to do my best to be as concise as possible and refrain from going on an endless rant about how much I love this chair. What I'm going to do instead is accurately and thoroughly review this marvel of modern engineering. First I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself. I'm a 6 foot tall 250 pound military member with previous surgery on L5S1 which has left me with nerve pain every day of my life as well as problems on three other levels of my spine. Generally chairs aren't designed to seat a person of my stature and won't last very long. I require a chair that's very sturdy, adjustable and ergonomic. The box came, overjoyed I struggled to lift it into my apartment. The first thing I noticed was the weight of the box. It gave me a sense of assurance in knowing that I bought quality. The Hardware felt to be of good manufacturing. Also I received double the hardware necessary to assemble the chair. I LOVE EXTRA HARDWARE. The instructions were very well illustrated and the chair built in minutes. One thing that I really appreciated was the way adjustments were engineered into the design of the chair. While assembling you can adjust the width of the arm rests. Once the bolts are tightened down your arm rests will only adjust up and down. Another adjustment built into the chairs construction is controlling the distance from the seat to the back rest. This is generally only a feature on higher end chairs and I was happy to see that is has quite a bit of range. The roller blade wheels are amazing! My apartment has tile floor and my old terrible chair struggled to move anywhere, often getting tiny wheels stuck in the grooves of the tile. It generally made navigating chasms of my unorganized room clumsy and difficult. With these rollerblade wheels I can glide from one end of the room to the other. Its effortless, I love it. The mesh feels very comfortable and breathable. The lumbar support is amazing. I nearly fell asleep the moment I sat in this. The lever that allows the chair to tilt back or sit straight up is the kind of lever that you push down or pull up. This is very good because some other chairs have a lever that's essentially a bar that you slide horizontally. Over time the bar can work its way out so when you go to sit back in your chair the lever pops out and the char sends you flying backward. This has happened to me at least fifty or sixty times and I have ended up on the ground as a result of this. The design of the seat back lever of prevents this from happening. This chair is so comfortable that I felt the need to write this review as soon as I sat down. Already my back feels better, my nerve pain is reduced. I had been sitting on a broken chair for over a year and a half until I noticed the amount of discomfort I was ignoring and pulled the trigger on this. I will update this review if anything changes or the chair fails over time.
Review: Great chair - great value - great customer service - Customer service - my chair arrived with the wheels in bad shape. This didn't seem to be a manufacturer defect, it really looked like someone had opened the box and... I really can't explain what happened, but it didn't seem to be the fault of Duramont. In any case, they quickly responded to my email and sent me a new set of wheels that arrived on the earlier end of the range they gave me. Five stars for Duramont customer service! Assembly was fine. I didn't notice the L and R embossed in the plastic on the underside of the seat and initially installed the armrests and lift-control mechanism backwards. Instructions could go from good to great if they pointed out such things. Not a big gripe and much of the blame falls on me. I find the chair comfortable. You know those $1,500-$2,000 name brand office chairs that get all the hype? The Duramont is probably a half a step behind them in terms of comfort, but they are WAY over-priced. Meanwhile, the Duramont is a great value and still very comfortable. Good armrests with nice indentations that fit my arms. The headrest is something I've never used before, but I really like it when I'm reclining. Lumbar support is great! ("Loosen" the knob to increase the support.) The seat is VERY firm. I haven't spent a full day working in the chair yet, but if I have a small ergonomic gripe, that might be it. Regardless, I prefer a firmer cushion to one that's too soft - especially because I suspect a firmer cushion will last longer. If I need it softer, then I'll pickup one of those gel seat cushions you see all over the place. Overall, this is a great chair - and certainly a great value. Unless you're ready to spend 5X or more, I don't know of a better option. And the company gets top marks for their responsive support. Highly recommended!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Return policy is not clear: If "used" customer pays return shipping. If something is wrong days after assembling is the chair considered used?**
A: When returning directly through amazon, they have their own policies which we can not control. But if we are contacted directly, we will reimburse for any return shipping costs. And will never make you pay if something is wrong with the chair.

**Q: How high does the chair go? Will it work for someone that's 6'5"?**
A: The chair is 16.9-20.8inch height. It will work for someone that’s 6’5”

**Q: Whats the height of the arms at the lowest setting (lowest arm adjustment and lowest seat height)?**
A: I'm not sure if there was a product update after Duramont answered this question below - but that is incorrect. It is 16.5" to the BOTTOM of the seat cushion + another 4" to the actual top of the seat. The 16.5" measurement is a pretty useless measurement.

**Q: What is the depth of the actual seat?**
A: I measure the seat at 4.5" thick and where you sit measures 21" X 21.5" roughly. Hope this helps!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Good Value
*by C***J on July 13, 2018*

Update (2/6/20): Almost have had this chair for 2 years now and it's still holding up pretty well. The mesh cushion has sunken a little bit, but is still comfortable. Despite other reviews about the legs of the base breaking, mine have held up perfectly fine. The back mesh is still strong and supports me just fine. The arm rests are still going strong despite my initial concerns. The only annoyance I've had is with the bolt assembly for the back rest. I'm not sure if there were supposed to be nuts included with these, but there should be since I had to re-tighten them on a 1 to 2 week basis if I didn't want the back to wobble when it was supposed to be locked into place. I finally got annoyed enough to just go to a hardware store and find some that would work. This was a few months ago and since then I've not had to re-tighten them. YMMV. ========================================================================================= Original Review: I needed a replacement for my 10 year old office chair, so I figured I would at least get a decent replacement. I received it in the mail a couple days ago and I'm not regretting it so far. Pros: 1. Very comfortable to sit in for more than a couple of hours (my old chair caused me mild back pain after an hour of sitting). The breathable mesh back keeps me fairly cool in my otherwise hot office. 2. Easy to follow instructions. It only took me 30 minutes to put it together. I suggest attaching the back onto the bottom bracket before installing it to the seat unless you have a second person around to help. You also might want to check the shims before you start construction. There are only a few that fit the large screws (I had to take 3 screws back out just to get the right shims). 3. Included everything you needed to put it together. They even threw in some mesh gloves if you don't want to get your hands dirty! 4. The mostly metal construction feels very sturdy and like it will last. 5. Adjustable height arm rests are super nifty. Especially when you're switching between different height desks like me on a regular basis. 6. The casters are very quiet and easy to roll. I can pretty much roll across the office in dead silence if I want. Cons: 1. The box was pretty banged up by the time I received it. I'm not faulting Duramont for this, but it does suck seeing a moderately expensive item come in such a ragged looking package. 2. The chair has a very strong chemical smell. I left it to air out overnight and it has helped, but I definitely need to do it a couple more days. It might not bother you, but it gave me a headache. 3. The armrests feel a little wobbly. This isn't from the bracket being loose, but from the lifter mechanism not being super tight. It's probably fine, but it does make me wonder how long they'll last. Overall I'm happy with it so far. I've sat in more expensive chairs similar to this price and this chair doesn't seem too far behind. It's definitely worth the extra cash over the basic task chairs you'll find everywhere. I'll keep this review updated down the road depending on how well the chair holds up for me, but I think it should be okay for a long time. Cheers!
