You must heat this with a carpet tape iron to use it. It paper backing that’s reinforced and has glue on it. Check out some videos on the net about carpet seaming method. Look for the one with a carpet iron so you understand what you are getting. This tape works well as intended and is a decent price.

This does the job. I saw a this item is frequently returned message on it but I believe the problem is buyer thinking this is just stick tape. It’s not. ### ⭐ Does not hold! Use standard Carpet Glue Tape and a home iron if you want done right.

Tape does not hold! and this was used in a non traffic area. Ended up buying standard Glue carpet tape and used a home iron to seem and worked perfect. This product does not work!
