Although rental is a great option and very inexpensive, it can get to be a pain after a while. When you find yourself renting the same tool over and over, it's probably time to buy one.That was the case with us on a general-purpose fitting removal set. Modern vehicles have all sorts of quick-release fittings on them, but many of them require a special tool to actually release them. We decided to (finally) buy a set for occasional use and this set fit that bill perfectly. The week after it arrived, we used it to remove a fuel line fitting and it worked perfectly.Is this the right set for a professional mechanic? Probably not, but that set would cost significantly more too. For the home mechanic though, it worked great for us! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars The price and quality match for this set *by C***. on Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2024* I will say that this is not the highest quality set, but it's not necessary to set out to be that either. For the price, the quality is pretty good for occasional use, particularly if you are a DIY at home. How this kit might stand up in the shop is another thing. But at the same time they frequency of use of hose disconnects probably is not a whole lot. So I think that this could service a technician and a professional shop, especially if they don't do a lot of gas line and AC line disconnects, which I don't think that's that's terribly common in the first place.
