Sitting on the floor and measuring to top of the handle is 23". This is the best of the many box fans I have owned. It moves a lot of air and I have run it for hours a day for over five years and it still works well. **Q: How long can the fan stay on? I want to leave it on for several days to dry out the dirt under the house.** A: I sleep with the fan on all night and then I have a dog that sits in the same room most of the day so I leave it on all day for him. So I would say I've had this fan running constantly with maybe 15-20 min. breaks per 24 hrs. Have never had a problem with it. This is really my most favorite fan I've ever bought. **Q: Does this fan have a three prong cord?** A: Yes, this box fan does have a two prong one ground rod plug. **Q: The fan pictured has square cut-outs on the side. Will the fan sent to me have these cut-outs so I can mount into a fan stand?** A: Mine did. Though this fan is larger than the standard off the shelf box fan. You should look into their stand if you haven't done so. These are so much more heavy duty than my previous fans. The motor strength and air flow is noticeable. I don't get any bogging down when pulling air through air filters with wood chips filling them up. They have metal frames that don't deflect which reasonable weigh on them. They do make a lot of noise, and they pull a good deal of power. If you put this on a power strip with other tools going at the same time, then you will need a higher amp power strip with a reset button on it if you trip a breaker/overload a fuse. It is exactly what I wanted for my shop, and the $50ish price tag seems well worth it.
