Review: Taste great! - Premium quality tea at a reasonable price. Tea feels fresh, is fragrant and have a unique roasted taste.
Review: Best for this grade of tea - The tea leaves look green and fresh and smell very nice (characteristic of smell of beans). The first steep tastes rather like some very good Dragon Well tea leaves I got from China years ago (Grade B as Grade A is the best per that farm). The second steep doesn't have very strong taste but you know what, just steep 3 gram of tea leaves and only drink the first steep so you are always drinking the best. It's a little surprising that it also has some taste of Japanese green tea if you steep at a lower temperature (I used 170F), which is actually welcomed since it has some healthy nutrient that way (just forgot the name of it). In addition, the price is very nice for this grade of tea. I used to pay double the price from another vendor (who also provides for Whole Foods in some stores) for nearly half the grade of this one.

**Q: Is this a grade aaa grade or b grade?  i am not familiar with 1grade**
A: From a tea drinker's perspective, this tea is definitely not AAA.  It should be classified as a B grade.  The leaves are huge, indicating not tender tea leaves and perhaps harvested later in the spring.  There is no fragrance associated with Long Jing tea.

**Q: What kind of pesticides are there? What's the best way to wash them out?**
A: Don’t know whether there is any pesticide, but I’d always soak the tea with a small amount of 85~90 C water for about 2 seconds and then quickly decant the liquid. If you still are not 100% sure, you can repeat the soaking process once. After that, you can add the full amount of 85~90 C water, wait and enjoy.

**Q: Is this 2021 year spring new tea ?**
A: Do not know.  Expiration date is 9/15/22.  This is the 2nd time I ordered this tea.

I fell in love with Longjing 25 years ago. I've been lucky enough to taste at least 50, from tea farms to independent tea stores that purchase direct from the source. Price can fluctuate and while not always an indicator of quality, you generally get what you pay for. Every now and then you get lucky and find the real deal at an affordable price. This is ONE example. The fuzzy down on the inside of the package is an indicator, depth of green color another, nice full leaf on each stem after brewing is proof of careful harvesting and roasting. But brewing and tasting are everything. Wonderful aroma of fresh flowers and warm bread. The flavor a combination of chestnut, spring beans, and a mild sweetness The mouthfeel, buttery! Grab this gem while it lasts.
