What you should come here for is a story of challenges and triumphs from one of contemporary football's most talented players; a man whose friends and family all vouch for his heart of gol and pure intentions, and a story that left me inspired and very proud to be a Mesut Özil fan. There were indeed points that I coudn't distinguish between his personal voice and that of his editors / co-writers (which could have also been lost in transaltion from German to Englsih), and also times when I thought the book read more like a defence of his life against naysayers and the media than an autobiography.
