I see why this one is worth twice the cost of others. It gives you a constant water temperature readout so you can have the correct temperature for coffee (205), green tea 185, etc. The top of lid is a simple thermometer design so there is no electronic to fail. I am concerned of food contact part is plastic. However, this item all stainless steel construction stands up well, no plastic parts contact with water. No tube inside, easy to clean. Very convenient to use, just push the start button, and it boils the water, and then switch off automatically. The gooseneck is stylish, and i like it in my kitchen.
