I just removed the old strips, used some cement filler to fill in the extra space under the new strips and it also helped to sort of "glue" them in. Perfect fit and very easy to install. Used scissors to cut to size and in some cases trim the bottom if necessary for a Perfect fit. This is VERY DIY friendly.
