But if you have an EMG setup in your guitar you don't need the kit. Just swap out the old ones for the new ones. I recently got an ibanez rg series from 2007 in good condition. I just didn't like the passive pickups in it so I decided to try out my first signature emg set. I have either 81/85 or 81/60 as those are my favorite especially the 60. kirks bone breakers are very similar to the classic 81/60 sound, but seem to have more clarity while retaining the emg sound and output that emg is known for.
