A few advantages/disadvantages. *by D***R on July 31, 2025* Kept getting buzzed by fruit flies while doing the dishes. Set out a homemade soap and vinegar trap, caught a half-dozen, but they kept coming. Ended up buying this product and a "professional" vinegar trap, figuring I'd do a side-by-side comparison. The light trap wasn't quite as effective as vinegar, but it did catch a couple of dozen flies in six hours (I had no idea there were THAT many) without smelling up the house, and the blue night light is a nice aesthetic addition to the kitchen as long as you don't to closely at it and see all the dead bugs.
