Others have posted that a few pieces came with chips in them. Mine were packaged perfectly with no chips or breaks. These are so beautiful that I love using them. They look way more expensive than they were. They aren't too heavy and wash nicely. I've used them in the microwave with no issues. I bought the set with the pasta bowls and I'm so glad I did. I like having the 2 sizes of plates and also the 2 different sizes of bowls. The ceral bowl is the perfect size.
