They fit well onto both my regular chicken coop and the bars of the dog-crate/cage that I used to house broody hens. As well as the two plastic 'hooks' they also have a small attachment on the back which slots onto a a cage wire to hold the cup more firmly in place and stop it being jostled by hens. I use mine for providing grit, oystershell and snacks to my chickens. (I have tiny serama hens so my only wish might have been for these cups to be a little bit smaller, but the seramas can still reach in if I attach them to the very bottom of their coop.) They help keep the coop clear of the lots of little pots I was using on the ground before I got these. Thx.** A: They come as random colours but im sure if you message the seller they might make an exception **Q: what is the width of the hook as i have quite fine mesh on my chicken coop?** A: Theres 2 hooks per cup and each hook is a cm, if your mesh is small what I would do is tie 2 cable ties onto your mesh making sure you leave a big enough circle to slide the cup hooks through, hope this helps. **Q: Could these be used to hold fruit jelly pots for a parrot** A: I don't know how big the pot is but a large yoghurt pot will easily fit. They are strongly made but they are plastic so if your parrot likes destroying things you would be better off with a stainless steel water bowl that clips to the cage.
