Review: Nice desk item, doesn't take up space but could break easily. - Pros: lightweight, easy to use, very compact. Cons: thin plastic, not good for travel. Worth buying if you're going to keep it on your desk or in a drawer or similar, but I wouldn't recommend putting it in your backpack or travel bags. It's light and small enough that it won't take up too much space and it's easy enough to just plug in and go. I used the windows legacy media player with it and it worked perfectly for all but one cd, although that may have just been user error as all the ones before and after it have worked fine.

I bought this since my laptop does not have an optical drive. Plug and play. I have had it for several months but only really used it today. File transfer from my laptop and external drives was seamless and speed was decent. Very pleased especially for the price. Adding to my review. I have put this little unit through its paces in the last week or so after owning it for some months. Works great with the attached USB cable but cannot get it to be recognized with a longer cable. Works great with little if any problems. Highly recommend.
