Hasn’t got a normal plug on it, so you would need a USB ADAPTER PLUG. I think if you bought the letters and wanted to make a word like LOVE or HOME etc and joined them together with the connector that is supplied with the HEART or the LETTERS, then maybe you would need the APP, I’m not sure, as I’ve only got the HEART. However, I am pleased with it, it’s quite unusual, and cute and a good price. Does not make any noise, good light quality, so far good functionality and not cheap looking. Easy to install.
