I initially bought a 3 jaw chuck rotary for engraving what was mainly to be tumblers and water bottles. The three jaw chuck does have a few advantages on some types of work but I found it to be tedious when doing tumblers and water bottles. Instead of trying to align the work piece and keep it centered with the jaws, I simply lay it on the rollers do a preview to ensure it's properly seated in the rollers and start to engrave. I found the jaws to be inefficient and time consuming to properly align especially if a tumbler opening had any slope in the opening, they frequently would wobble off center. The roller is simple, aligns easily and accurate, it's a great choice and I'd recommend it.
