Worked great
This works great for installing the pet safe pet door through a wall rather than a door.

It filled in the gap OK.
Pros: It filled in the gap between the inside and outside door sections.Cons: 1. It is metal and not insulative at all so there's no energy efficiency.2. It's made with holes on the bend edges and where it seams together so it's not waterproof at all.3. When folded into a rectangle it's so much bigger than the door section it goes over that the gap is quite hard to tape shut. It would be much better if in the as-folded-up rectangular shape it could fit much closer to the rectangular plastic it's supposed to fit over. After all the plastic rectangle is molded and dimensionally accurate to probably =/- .008" and this folded metal extention could easily be scored [instead of having holes punched into it] to bend to those tolerances and fit the plastic. Getting the dimensions correct is what engineers are for, so make them do their job.

Best Doggie door for freedom for your dogs
I needed one that had the ability to expand through the wall on a brick home as the thickness was more than the normal wall mounts gave you however this extension for the petsafe door made it perfect!

Perfect Fit
We had a doggy door installed and there was a gap so the dogs were scared to use the new door. This was a perfect solution for the problem and it was an easy fix.

Bad Design
You are better off making something yourself. This does not fit well at all. Too wide and leaves a gap where cats step. Would not have purchased the cat door if I knew it needed this extension.

Leave 2 large seams for dirt to hide
So I give them props (and changed it to a 3 star) for using Aluminum when they could have used plastic like the rest of the door (Rest should have been aluminum too). I'm not really liking the fact that the extension goes on the outside of the parts you install. This makes 2 new seams where the original pieces end and the extension begins - being filled with dirt, debris and water. Directions said to "add duct tape or weather resistant tape for a cleaner look" .. Yea, duct tape on a new $150 dog door is not a good fix.
