Each entry big enough for a good paragraph, plenty of room to summarize your day. The book is rather thick due to the need to have so many pages, and the cover feels stronger than other Leuchtturm1917 journals. It feels like it should last the five years pretty easily. I'm not so sure about the elastic, but only time will tell. Like other journals by this company, there's a sheet of labels in the back pocket that you can use when archiving the book. I didn't write in it much, but when the 5 years was over I looked through it and was so glad I had recorded the little bit that I had. It was important enough to me that I wanted to do it again. I looked around at other journal options using the same format. Ultimately I came back to this journal. The journal is not too big or too small. There's enough space to write something each day- compared with the other options I saw on Amazon and Etsy. I was looking around for other options because I do think this is on the pricey side. I hope they can bring the price down. : ) With all that, this was still worth it for me to record my memories and some of my feelings during the year.
