Trees are his thing, so I went with Rainforest and Apple Tree, but I think anything in the series would be a great pick and have a mom friend who owns others that her mother found at a bookstore (note: these are not easy to find and well worth purchasing on desertcart even though they come from third-party sellers). Don't get me wrong - I still love the classics and give those as gifts, but as far as books go these are different, exciting, interactive, fun, and yes, educational (without feeling like it).
