Can I also throw in an ice pack for it to be even colder?** A: Great question! Some 12v plugs in certain cars will work with the car on only. Depending on the car though. If the plug works with the car off it could drain the battery quicker. You can throw in an ice pack however it will change the ice pack to the temperature inside the fridge. **Q: What is internal temp? looking for a space for my insulin, but it cannot be frozen.** A: Very good question and one that we can not answer. Because the temperature inside a "thermo Electric" cooler is determined by the temperature of the area it is in. When you think refrigerators, you think a normal refrigerator. That has freon, a compressor, fans, and takes a lot of electricity and can get down to freezing, even in a garage thats over 120 degrees. These are not that. These are Thermo Electric coolers. Back when I first looked into these, years ago. These could only create a 30 Degree difference. For example. If it is in a room that is 80 degrees, then the inside of the cooler would be at 50 degrees. Things freeze at 32 degrees, so let's say for safety that modern thermo electric coolers are up to a 40 degree difference now. so to keep it above freezing you could not keep this in a room colder than 73 degrees. The room is 73 degrees, then the inside of the cooler would be 33 degrees. one degree above freezing, which would be safe. Look, these aren't bad devices and I very much would trust them to keep my life saving medication in, but you need to understand how these things work. you buy this to keep your medication in your car, in Florida, where the inside of the car can get to 130 degrees, that means the inside of the cooler is at 100 degrees and your meds are ruined. To be fair, you are most likely thinking of using this at work, in an office thats kept at a constant temperature. In that instance you will be fine as long as the office isn't colder than 73 degrees, which most offices aren't. I think most companies keep their offices at around 78. **Q: I will be traveling by plane and hotel doesnt have fridge, will this fit into small suitcase or backpack?** A: Small suitecase yes. Backpack would have to be large. **Q: Can we use batteries instead?** A: No unfortunately it requires 110v ( normal USA plug) or 12v car cigarette adapter. ## Frequently Bought Together - Frigidaire Mini Portable Compact Personal Fridge Cooler, 4 Liter Capacity Chills Six 12 oz Cans, 100% Freon-Free & Eco Friendly, Includes Plugs for Home Outlet & 12V Car Charger - Mint - Frigidaire Red Mini Personal Fridge Cooler, 1 Gal Capacity fits Six Cans, Includes Plugs for Home Outlet & DC Charger - 9.9" D x 7.1" W x 10.6" H --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/584389588-frigidaire-mini-portable-compact-personal-fridge-cooler-4-liter-capacity](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/584389588-frigidaire-mini-portable-compact-personal-fridge-cooler-4-liter-capacity) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
