Following a full frontal hysterectomy this cushion set has been fantastic to help me rest on the couch and to sleep in a zero gravity chair with good and comfortable support (the pieces are lightm enough to take from couch to bed). Very good quality: good material, sturdy, and firm yet soft/comfortable. The thinner half-cylinder cushions were perfect for the small curves my body (neck and lumbar); I just wish there were four of them instead of three, as I would have used them as arm rests too, as they are so comfortable. They can be used right away without instructions but the photos show you how you can use the Velcro tabs to keep the pieces in place as you like them. I will continue using them to watch movies while laying on the couch … the little pocket on the side for my thin TV remote is very handy! :). I am not very worried about washability as I mostly cover it with a sheet. She had a serious back operation and was unable to sleep without being elevated. Extra pillows didn’t work so we ordered this set. The day it arrived, we set them up, and she finally was able to sleep the whole night without pain. They are very supportive cushions, well made and appreciate the removable cover so the can be washed.we ordered the wider set and glad we did as it fit great on her single bed. The height can be adjusted by not using or flipping around the different cushions. I would highly recommend them for anyone who has had a back operation or needs to sleep inclined.
