Really great product. I don’t think they sent the perlite though, this is definitely pumice (which for my application ended up being a welcomed surprise).Extra large, chunky, lightweight pieces were exactly what I had in mind for added aeration to my aroid soil mix.The price was average in comparison to brick and mortar stores in my area.10/10 would purchase again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Finally found big, chunky, QUALITY perlite!! *by A***Y on April 16, 2025* I have been searching for BIG chunky perlite for so long- enter this product. After trying multiple vendors that claim to sell chunky perlite, only for the perlite to be average sized at best, I was not particularly hopeful about this order. Imagine my elated surprise when I open the box to see a huge bag of huge, chunky as heck perlite! Perlite is my favorite way to root cuttings/seedlings semi-hydroponically, but I find with smaller perlite pieces they're more prone to not having enough airflow as they can compact together pretty tightly. Chunky, bigger pieces of perlite are perfect for rooting/growing in semi-hydro, as well as mixing with coco coir (50/50) to grow semi-hydro that way as well. Was actually shocked on such large chunks. I had always used smaller perlite which has a lot more powder. This perlite has powder but not to the extreme as the smaller perlite.I used this perlite in a soil mixture for large cactus and it seems to be giving good aeration in the soil. The cactus are growing well so I have no complaints.
