I first heard about WEN measuring tools from Matt at 731 Woodworks. Even though it's designed for architects and draftsmen, I use it in my shop and really like it. The build is solid, made from aluminum, and it holds up well in a work environment. It has a good weight to it and doesn’t slide around while I'm marking. The laser-etched scales are easy to read and accurate, making it simple to measure small fractions of an inch. I especially like how the three sides are color-coated so I can quickly find the scale I need without flipping it around a bunch. It includes a wide range of scales, as stated in the description, and is flexible enough for almost any measuring or layout task. When I am finished, it stores easily in a drawer or tool bag without taking up much space.
