Seben EQ3 telescope mount incl. height adjustable tripodThis time-proven mount is used 100,000 fold worldwide. It bears up to 4kg, for example the weight of a 150mm (6“) aperture reflector telescope including tube clamps. This mount allows you to exactly align the used telescope on Polaris. A sensitive adjustment of the right ascension and the declination-axis allows you to easily follow sky-objects and keep them on your visual field. The height adjustable tripod can be adjusted from 70cm to 122cm. The mount can be motorized, thus it is also suitable for astrophotography. Arrived very quickly just 3 days to the uk, great as a replacement mount for my 130mm scope, not the best quality but more than satisfied for the price

Okay, this is my first EQ mount so I can only compare it against rickety alt-az.I've not got to play with it yet, so I'll update the review later, but first impressions are I love it.There were no assembly instructions, so I took about an hour to put everything together (in the right places) without needing any special tools.It was easy to do the basic set up and it seems very solid (compared to my rickety alt-az).My only problem is the mounting plate, my currently scope has a short dove-tail plate and that is not at all compatible with the mounting plate on the EQ3, which means I'll have to shop around and acquire an adapter before I can use it.I'll update the review once I've got an adapter and again once I've had a change to play with it all for a bit.
