This is that hard to find premium blend acrylic based blacklight paint. Do not confuse this product with other cheap novelty type fluorescent paints. Acrylic blend paints dry to a smooth hard finish and will not simply wash off with a little bit of water like other brands. The colors are highly fluorescent in normal lighting and really pop out under blacklighted conditions! Specially formulated by DirectGlow, these paints will add bright and vibrant colors to your special project. There are no harsh chemicals and is completely safe for general use. The finish can be protected with a water based sealant for long lasting effects. ## Questions & Answers

**Q: do these paints work on fabric?**
A: Will they fluoresce? Yes. Are they ideal for fabric? Probably not, unless the fabric stays stationary. Acrylics dry smooth and hard. If they are applied to clothes, they would certainly crack and chip with movement. But if the fabric is completely stationary, like something for arts and crafts it would be fine.

**Q: Will paint work on PVC?**
A: It's an acrylic paint, which is polymer based. It will peel off of smooth surfaces. I *have* painted plastics/pvc with acrylic by using a spray paint primer first, but it does eventually flake if it's something that is touched frequently or if the plastic is bent slightly (it cracks the spray primer and falls off). Hope this helps!

**Q: Can it be used outdoors on walls? Is it permanent?**
A: Generally speaking yes, if a water based clear coat is painted over it. However, this is strictly arts and crafts type paint. It is not made for industrial use like painting buildings and standing up to the elements long term. It's made for kids, for fun, and for parties and similar. Will not last when used like a heavy duty :for outside use" house paint.

**Q: if you put a clear gloss over the finished art work will it affect the glow of the paint**
A: Depends on the medium you use and if it blocks uv. Just check the label on the gloss and it should tell you.

I was happy with this paint - I used it for Halloween decorations that I made. Some colors glowed better than others. Surprisingly, the white didn't work very well. I mixed the white with the pink and purple for a lighter shade and I think that is why my pink/purple heffalump didn't glow quite as bright. Anyway, for the price, the paint was great. The jars are very small, so make sure you buy enough. And make sure you use a good blacklight! I was considering getting expensive paint but I'm glad I saved money and went with these instead.

They glow better than we had hoped!

So far I’ve purchased about 7 different kinds of glow paints and these ones are the best I’ve found so far. In the picture I’ve done one coat of each with my finger since I didn’t have brushes on me at the time. I recommend that you do a thin layer for it to dry faster and keep coating it which would be about 3 to 4 coats. Very bright under blue and black light!
