They work great in instrument clusters for a little change of color in your vehicle. I have performed around 30 entire cluster bulb changes and have gone through several faulty bulbs until I purchased these. The longer leg is positive which helps when installing. You will definitely want to mark your positive lead before trimming the legs and be sure you solder them in correctly matching the polarity or else you could damage the bulb.

**Q: Can the wires be trimmed shorter?**
A: Yes, they can, I believe they are long because if used how I used them, you'll need the extra wire. There were some that I needed to trim just a bit.

A: There have not warm light in 3mm size.

A: Can work, but the brightness will be reduced.
It is because this led design to work in 9-12v

A: Sorry, I can not sure that
I do not know what is "12 v out door landscaping lights."
12V that it means that input voltage for " 12 v out door landscaping lights" only.
I can nut sure that the items's LEDs is 12V.
you need to test by yourself.
if the voltage for the LEDs, it must can work.

Anyway, our LEDs have a super width voltage  range.

3-14V can work too.

just 3-6V is not very bright only.

Replaced my burnt out dashboard bulbs with these. It is as easy as removing the dashboard,removing old mini bulbs and soldering these. No resistors are required they work directly with 12V. They provide very bright clear white light which I think is much better than stock bulbs. The only thing you may want to do is maybe put a piece of white electrical tape to reduce the amount of brightness if you don't want them to be too bright. Very good upgrade for the price.
