Reading the critical reviews for this and other dried shrimp brands here on desertcart ("very salty", "slightly gritty", etc.), I'm wondering whether some purchasers realise that salted dried shrimp have to be soaked in plenty of fresh water for at least one hour before use, then drained and thoroughly rinsed. This is essential to remove surface salt and any tiny particles of sand or shell which may be clinging to the shrimp.

Very good quality, uniformly-sized shrimp. Smells heavily of ammonia when I opened it which obviously shows the heavy breakdown of protein in shrimps and is not palatible.Even more surprised that the expiry shows February 2025.Would not recommend this product,is a waste of money
