Six of them I used in parallel for kitchenette lighting in my basement. The strong side clips attached to my 1/2" sheetrock with surprising grip (more on the clips below) and the depth of these units made them perfect for mounting in shallow locations in the ceiling where I actually had head ducts running in the same cavity between studs; a full depth recessed halogen fixture for a PAR16 would not have worked.For dimming, I'm using Insteon In-LineLinc dimmers in this case. The Insteon line of dimmers works well with LED lighting (unlike Lutron where you need to pony up for a special dimmer for LED lights...and insteon dimmers are controllable from anywhere you go on a budget.) I'm able to dim these from full brightness down to a very low level, and there is NO flickering as reported by others... I don't know what kind of dimmer they're using. I'm an electrical engineer and have been impressed so far by my insteon system which is growing and has not failed me at all.About the clips. They're strong... they have very good springs with plenty of tension for grabbing your sheetrock. But BE CAREFUL if you have to remove one of these. I pulled one out with both hands to reposition it, forgot about the springs, and got the full force of these mouse-trap-like spring mechanisms on the backs of both thumbs! Several four letter words later (as my amused wife watched) I had learned a valuable lesson. LOL.The color temperature of these units is a very nice cool color with yellowish overtones like a halogen. Just what the world needs. I highly recommend these bulbs. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Replace individual LED drivers with a common low voltage source; here's how *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States on February 2, 2017* These LED fixtures recess nicely into the bottom of a cabinet. They are spot lights though, so you need to space them fairly close together (16 inches in my case). If you have several in a string, I like the idea of replacing the individual LED drivers with a single low voltage supply and distributing the low voltage to each. Then you don't need a box to make junctions at each fixture. In responses to questions, people have said you need a 12 volt supply to do this. Not true! A 12 volt supply can be used but will make these lights very dim. I measured the output of the supplied LED driver (with LED load) and got 15.7 V DC. So I replaced the individual LED drivers with a single 24 V DC supply uxcell AC 90~250V to DC 24V 60 Watt Transformer IP67 Waterproof LED Driver Power Supply, followed by an adjustable DC volt converter DROK DC Volt Converter Regulator 8-35V 24V/12V to 1.5-24V 5V 12 V 5A Adjustable Voltage Module to reduce the 24 V DC to 15.7 V DC. Then I followed this with a PWM dimmer TORCHSTAR DC 12V - 24V PWM Dimmer Knob ON/OFF Switch with Aluminum Housing, Single Channel 30A Dimming Controller for Single Color LED Strip Lights, 5050 3538 5630 light strips to vary the brightness. Then I made a wiring harness to distribute this pulse width-modulated 15.7 volts to the string of 8 parallel LED fixtures. This worked very well, allowing you to vary brightness from very dim to very bright. (Be sure your LED string does not exceed the power/current capacity of the supply components.) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic light *by 1***A on Reviewed in the United States on December 23, 2013* I used these to create a light above my kitchen sink. I opted to go with 3 of them given my prior experience with LEDs in the aquarium realm of lighting. I really wondered how bright these were going to be and if three was going to be enough. The optical lenses on these allow for a great spread of light at a distance. They remain cool to the touch but please note, the hotter LEDs get, the more their life expectancy decreases. For this reason, I opted to put these on a dimmer and the results are awesome. They put out a ton of light at 50% and are almost room temperature to the touch. The color is pretty good too, very warm tone.I wired these to run off a household outlet and used a plug in table top dimmer to allow for dimming.
