The Cherax Pulcher is a small, peaceful freshwater crab from Indonesia, measuring 7-10 cm. It features a stunning color shift from grey in juveniles to intense blue and pink in adults, thrives in aquariums with at least 80 cm pelvis length, and is plant-safe despite its active digging behavior.

## Description

The Cherax pulcher is also under its old name Cherax sp. Irian Jaya/Hoa Creek. It comes from Indonesia. With a body length of 12 to 13 cm, this pretty cancer is a rather small representative of its genus. A pair or a small group of two females and one male can be kept from 80 cm pelvis length. Plants do not eat Cherax pulcher, but he digs very hard. Very peaceful cancer that can be well socialized with smaller fish. Its intense blue/pink colour develops the cancer only in the adult stage (from approx. 10 cm). The smaller crabs have a rather grey colour
