Review: Inexpensive and effective - Super easy to install and is exactly what we needed to keep the door to our son’s room closed so the cats don’t get in (he’s allergic and they like to hide under his bed and are difficult to get out). The device gently closes the door all the way. Took a minute to figure out but I used the screw-looking tool to get to the last hole which provides the most spring tension. Then screwed in the “closer” (roller looking thing). The directions don’t tell you that but you figure it out fairly quickly by looking at the pictures posted.
Review: Easy install. Works well for hollow interior doors. Funny directions too! - I ordered 2 in order to shut some doors and make sure we kept our German Shepherd off of our new carpet. They took 3 minutes to install once I figured them out. They fully shut one of the doors but not quite the other (unless the AC is running). It definitely pulls it to and disuades the dog. I didn't even bother with the "protective plate." The wheels roll smoothly and don't seem to be wearing on the door but it's a 5 minute job to touch up the paint if ever needed. The directions are definitely good for a laugh (but that's about it).
