It was kind of a bitch running the wire up to where I could connect it to a power cord, but that's to be expected with a front wheel drive vehicle with everything crammed into the engine compartment. Review: Throws off a lot of heat. - Purchased this product to heat the oil pan in a generator installed in a steel cabinet outside my house here in the northeast, where temperatures are often in the teens and sometimes lower. It throws off a lot of heat! I want this product to last numerous seasons, so it is still too early to comment on that. The adhesive on one side of the pad didn’t adhere well to the metal bracket I placed it on, so I augmented it with epoxy glue and also some metal bars and galvanized wire to ensure that it didn’t fall off. Again, time will tell, but the product looks like it will be very effective.
