Turns out I'm astonished at the quality (weight & sturdiness) of each piece and not ashamed to use them for Thanksgiving dinner (if you knew how picky I am, that'd mean a lot)!! As recommended they'll only be hand-washed (the only negative), so I can't speak to dishwasher durability. MUCH to my surprise, these are very strong, easily acing "the ice cream test." The matte finish is lovely, I only wish there was an option of a slightly more polished finish for a *slightly* more formal/upscale feel. Other than that, these are great (and I'm one of the world's pickiest picky people!!!). FULL size (not at all diminutive), weighty, strong, attractive. What more could you want?!
