It is so soft yet durable. I like how the thick stitching adds to the charm of this notebook. The pages go well with it since they have an old/dated look and it gives it a rustic feel. The pages are binded in nicely. It comes with a pen that writes pretty well. My only issue with the pen is that when I remove it to open up and write, the bottom gets stuck inside the loop and comes out. The bottom of the pen is too loose fitting. It is made from a cardboard type material which makes me think it is recycled which is great! I love the way the notebook has a wrap closure and can be "sealed" by placing the pen inside the loops. It looks cool and keeps you from losing your pen and the book from opening. The box it comes in is great for storage or can be reused for something else.
