When I engaged my brain and looked a little closer, I realised that it must have got crushed/stood on during delivery. With a little extra prying, I got it opened and it works great, so it seems a durable little thing too!I bought it to use inside a purse/bag combo that doesn't have cars slots. So far it is doing the job perfectly!It is very easy to use, 1 hand can hold it and push the open button with no difficulty.
