It does fit a folder and can still close easily. If my daughter was bigger I would have probably gone for the biggest size, but I'm pleased there was a smaller option for her that will still fit a take home folder and lunch box. We are going to be traveling this summer on a plane and this will be just right for her to be able to carry some of her own things without being overly weighed down by a bigger backpack.

This backpack is well made, stylish and a real hit with my grandson. The material is sturdy, vibrant and durable for summer camp. Comfortable for a young boy to carry his towel, snack and change of clothes. The padding on the shoulders balance the contents without putting pressure on the back. The 3 compartments separated the snacks from clothes. Overall I highly recommend.
