I also found I have no need for my phone to be in the slot. Mostly, I decided to update my review because I find myself using this thing everyday for notes and storage. Very Convenient! PREVIOUS REVIEW: Package arrived on time and packaging was excellent. When I opened the box, the organizer was securely sandwiched between two foam end pieces. Unfortunately the plastic hinge for the top was mis-aligned. It did snap into place but I have my doubts about its longevity. I assumed incorrectly they would include a dry erase marker to get me started... not a deal breaker but would seem to make sense to send one given the price. Here's the big no no for me: The picture shows a slot to hold a tablet and a phone. In the picture (including the one on the box) you can see the ipad and phone are slanted backward to form an appropriate viewing angle. THAT IS NOT THE CASE! Hopefully you can see from my pictures, the tablet is straight up and down if not slightly tilted forward making it reasonably useless for the intended purpose. My phone is the same way. Perhaps without cases they may tilt a little but I'm not going to take the case off everytime!
