A: It’s 3.75 or 3 3/4 squares per inch.  This is your standard latch hooking or rug hooking canvas. Hope this helps.

**Q: can this product be wet and be washed frequently and still last a long time, such as for a bathroom rug?**
A: Yes, it can. You just have to secure edges--either fold under 4 squares and do a zig zag stitch for a locker hooked rug or rag rug. Or fold under and use a rug binding tape for other rug hooking techniques.

**Q: can you get this by the yard**

This was my first time buying from this supplier, but it definitely will not be my last. I am a textile artist and am always looking for different substrates and ways to incorporate them. This canvas mesh is excellent quality and at a reasonable price.  It came on time, and was wrapped in tissue paper, tied with twine, and a hand written thank you note.  That extra touch that made me feel valued as a customer. I'm looking forward to having a long-term relationship with this company.

This starched mesh canvas works well for a hooked rug or locker hooked rug.  It is more expensive than the same rug canvas I purchased 18 months ago from a hobby store, but I couldn't find cheaper canvas anywhere else.
