Once you position the screen at the top of the umbrella - and the screen flows downward - you need only to add water to the runner at the base. The screen covers umbrellas that are 8 and 9-feet. **Q: We have a 40 inch by 68 inch rectangular table, has anybody tried this for this size table???** A: I have a regular banquet sized table (30 by 72). There is NO room on the long edges and just enough on the short edges. I don't think this would work well with a 40" wide table. **Q: Would this work for a 3 person patio swing?** A: I don’t think it would work, you would be hitting the net as you swing **Q: Can the net be left out in rain?** A: Yes.
