Review: It worked just as advertised! - Massively impressed with this after reading previous mixed reviews. Wind blew expanding foam (Also made by Soudal) onto my UPVC door trim to the side of the front door. Tried to get as much off as possible but I just ended up smudging it and making a mess. Two days later this product arrived, I painted it on liberally (as instructed) all over the smudged and now dry mess. Waited 50 minutes - went back outside with a plastic scraper and literally just pulled the scraper down from the top of the UPVC trim to the bottom and it pulled off all the dry foam in a rubbery type of material. A quick wipe with a microfibre cloth after removing the last bits of foam. No mess left, no discolouration, no problem. It's like there was never any foam on it. Loads of product left too (for next time). Brush was easy to use and did the job just fine. I couldn't personally smell anything but my partner said that it did smell quite strong (not sure if she was smelling something else, I had my nose right to the brush and couldn't smell it). Seems to work fast so I'm guessing a strong product - I do know there are sprays you can get that work in 2 minutes but for me, this worked perfectly. Would recommend - follow instructions (Apply generously - wait no less than 30 mins, no more than 60, repeat if required).
Review: Worked for me on white uPVC and white standard conservatory window board (white PVC coated) - Worked for me on white uPVC and white standard conservatory window board (white PVC coated). It took a while to find this product. I had a few expanding PU foam stains on some window board and I had tried every solvent I had in the house, stopping short of cellulose thinners as it is a vicious solvent. This contains a solvent I hadn't heard of before, Ethanolamine, which is also pretty strong and water soluble. I applied it to a piece of white off-cut window board and left it there for about 5 hours (the instructions say 30 mins) - no damage, so I applied it thickly to the PU stains (after carefully scraping it as flat and thin as possible) and left it on for 40 mins. The foam had not dissolved, but had loosened the foam so I could either wipe it off or gently scrape with the spatula. Marvellous! Wiped the surfaces clean with water. I would normally have easily wiped the uncured foam off with white spirit, but this is a good (if expensive) backup for mistakes - there's loads in the pot though. Being a strong solvent, I'm not surprised it would damage coloured PVC, but for white it's fine.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will it remove the paint off my frames**
A: Doubt it

**Q: Is this safe for use on clothing? I stupidly forgot to change into scruffy clothes before using and it is now on a pair of trousers I want to rescue!**
A: I would think so unless they were cashmere or something as expensive.

**Q: Will this stuff remove expanding foam from inside a round wall vent (hole) that has cured?**
A: It's expanding foam remover....

**Q: We’ve just had house rendered and a can over expanding foam has exploded onto side of house. Can I use this to remove the left over parts?**
A: The answer is 'probably'. The only concern would be the effect the remover would have on the surface the expanding foam has covered. So you should do what I did, test the effect on a small area, wait a good while and see what happens.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works as described
*by C***Y on 10 November 2024*

Who hasn't has an expanding foam accident? This does an okay job of dissolving wet foam - better than any other solvent I had about the house (rubbing alcohol, acetone, brake cleaner). I did try and use it to wash set foam out of a shirt - with enough scrubbing it did actually break down the solid bits but couldn't remove the staining - so in that regard it over delivered.
